ESCP organizes its European Symposium on Clinical Pharmacy every year in the autumn.
The program includes plenary lectures, moderated discussions, round table discussions and workshops allowing clinical pharmacy practitioners, educators and researchers from various countries to exchange knowledge and experience about new developments in clinical pharmacy.
Oral communications, poster discussion forums and poster presentations, presented by the participants, are permanent features. In addition, Special Interest Groups or Committees organize sessions dedicated to specific fields of clinical pharmacy.

ESCP also organizes annual Spring Workshops. These are generally focused on specific themes to provide more in-depth and detailed professional education. Workshops and interactive discussions play an important role.
These meetings are generally smaller and more intimate that the annual symposia and often held in conjunction with another association or professional body.

ESCP is committed to providing ongoing professional education for clinical pharmacy practitioners. In addition to its main educational programs (the symposia and conferences) ESCP also organizes master classes and educational courses.
On the day prior to the Annual Symposium ESCP organizes a Master Class in "Search of Excellence" dedicated to a specific topic relating to one of the Special Interest Groups.
The ESCP Education Committee is responsible for overseeing the quality and scientific excellence of ESCP educational programs.
ESCP is constantly looking for new areas of research and ways to develop the professional practice of clinical pharmacy.
Since the Society was founded, different educational and research programs have been developed. Several collaborative studies, particularly in the field of drug utilisation review among member countries have been done.
ESCP offers awards to individual researches in clinical pharmacy fields.
To allow for advanced interaction, learning and knowledge exchange amongst members with similar interests, ESCP organizes Special Interest Groups (SIGs). The SIGs are run by members who have a specific clinical pharmacy area of interest in common, SIGs provide special services --such as special training programs and in-depth workshops during ESCP conferences-- to other ESCP members with a similar focus.
The editing and issuing of publications and journals is an important task undertaken by ESCP. In addition to the Society's own official publications, ESCP also selects existing clinical pharmacy publications for promotion among ESCP members.
The Society has a scientific journal International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy (IJCP) * where research papers are published. In addition the proceedings of Symposiums and Workshops are published in IJCP.
* IJCP - International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy was called Pharmacy World & Science till 2010.
ESCP also produces a quarterly newsletter. ESCP News serves as a link between the Society and its members, providing updates and news about the activities of ESCP, articles of clinical and professional interest and official announcements related to ESCP business.
To promote the value of clinical pharmacy services among other health care professionals and scientific societies, ESCP has established relationships with societies which share the same interests. Other societies with whom ESCP organizes joint activities or programs include:
